Recently I was reminded of the value of complementary colours in the consultation process. It happened like this, at a moment when Aura-Soma stepped in as if Heaven Sent:
My client was a retired woman who had been burdened for some time by the circumstances of an unhappy marriage. As she arrived for her Reiki appointment her eye was drawn to some Ascended Master bottles that had just arrived that morning.
“Oh, I love that pale green one!” she exclaimed, as she pointed to Hilarion. The main theme of Hilarion (B53) is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and previously this lady had shared with me how she was struggling to find peace of mind around her marriage, her domestic circumstances, and her family situation. Her husband remained oblivious to the difficulties she experienced within their relationship, and she was finding it increasingly difficult to live in her truth. I took a moment to explain that Green is often about finding one's own space; that the pale tint of the green can indicate a degree of grief around attaining that space; and that Hilarion is concerned for us to find our own path or space, and experience our Truth as we journey.
Instinctively I turned to the pale pink of Lady Nada (B52), and felt a thrill of confirmation as I realised that this was, in fact, the complementary colour to the pale green of Hilarion. Lady Nada's theme is to experience unconditional love! I knew that my client felt uncomfortable and guilty at leaving her husband – emotional aspects of B53 - yet his continual outbursts of anger, jealousy, and derision, together with his dislike and distrust of his own children had slowly but surely driven her away. Lady Nada would facilitate in the processing of the emotional and mental abuse, it would allow my client to affirm her own worth, and assist her as she worked towards resolving her difficulties. Above all, it would support her in her struggle to experience unconditional love for herself, and towards her partner of many years – an aspect which she genuinely desired.
In the session that followed, we incorporated the Emerald Green Pomander to aid in cleansing and refreshing her heart chakra and expand her breathing, and the Pale Pink Quintessence to bring in support in the form of love from the Divine Mother, and to clear her aura of negative emotions. I lead my client through a beautiful Pale Pink Rosebud of the Heart meditation. She decided to find her Rose Quartz crystals once she returned home that afternoon, and to use them as another way of supporting herself. She also decided to use the supportive B53 affirmation “ I find my own truth.” For personal reasons she chose not to work with an Equilibrium bottle on that occasion. I respected her decision, although I do feel compelled to whisper - “Watch this space!”
Immediately her body became convulsed with heart-rending sobs, and she conveyed through her tears that she had decided within the last day or so to leave her marriage. The information I had just shared was an all-too accurate reflection of her situation, and it was clear that she was about to embark upon a most courageous path, given her age, her state of health, and her personal circumstances.
